His productions and DJ sets are known for their sound and range. Not "lo-fi," but corroded. Twisted around, shifted. He moves from deep, affecting washes of ambient sound to heavy, hard-hitting drum tracks with gentle steadiness. Michael Claus has released numerous albums and EPs across several well-regarded labels in the U.S. techno underground. His first 12", Ice Pick, was released on Left Hand Path in May 2018. He has released several cassettes on Detroit-Berlin outfit Jacktone Records and L.A.-based twisted house label 100% Silk. He currently runs his own label imprint called Silva Electronics.
