The band started in 2011 and their debut single “Split an Atom” was released soon after. The bands goal is to create music that makes your body move and strives to make their shows a place to let loose and go a little mental. The band consists of Jon Savage, Friso Woudstra, Tino Damnbaneunga and Tebza Sedumedi. Jon was the lead singer of SAMA winning rock band, Cassette, of which Kite Rider guitarist Friso was also a member. Cassette enjoyed success with chart topping singles like Gogogo featuring JR, Tracy and Break My Heart. Teb’za and Tino’s credentials include playing for HHP – the very talented South African rap artist. Jon is considered the national voice of rock in South Africa, hosting 5fm’s “Power Night of Rock” on Thursday nights. He is passionate about the music industry and has created South Africa’s first (and currently only) SA Music Industry podcasts, designed to help bands and musicians understand more about the music industry. Jon is also a renowned composed and producer at Pocket Love Studios, creating music for local and international TV commercials and film sound tracks. “What I love about this band is that there are no rules. We play Indie Rock mixed with African Mbaqanga, Afro Pop, Dance music – we just infuse everything.
