Morrie Beth started rehearsing in its current form in a sweaty, musty hotbox in Yokine during the 2013/2014 summers. After the departures of members out of Perth, drummer Tyler and singer/guitarist Lachie were joined by friends Brad and Shaun on keys and bass respectively. The new additions were a catalyst for Morrie Beth to move away from heavier rock influences towards a more groove-focused sound. A rhythm section, which shows Jazz and RnB influences, mixes with garage funk guitars. With lyrical observations of Western Australia, Morrie Beth is a unique band within the strong local music community of Perth.
