MTT005: Desert Island Disco - Fighting For Truth by Mister T records

For their 2nd release of the year, Mister T. records are back with 3 balearic House bombshells to light up dancefloors and festivals this summer.

@desert-island-disco aka Will, Spence and Will (again), are a British DJ/producer collective, founded in Bristol (England), and now split between London and Barcelona. They were brought together by a shared passion for timeless dance music from across borders, eras and genres. After 4 self-releases, they are stepping up production efforts, launching their first major EP on Mister T. Records.

With the Fighting For Truth EP, the boys have produced 3 summery tracks that reflect the different moods of the balearic aesthetic. Glistening is the most dancefloor-oriented track on the EP: an ethereal Dream House number that keeps the aerial atmosphere of the 90s scene through smooth pads, deep chords and a soothing sax line. Fighting for Truth maintains a similarly seductive vibe with floating keys, gentle synth stabs and a hypnotic vocal refrain. Although a slower track, it remains DJ-friendly thanks to its pulsating break beat rhythm. The EP closes with Lina; a housey track with broad afro-balearic influences, inspired by the pancontinental records they like to collect. Lina takes the listener to a remote place with floating flutes, melodic percs and lush vocals that fit neatly with the Balearic mood of the release.
