Miia Magia Stockholm - Helsinki Finnish dj based in Stockholm. Dj-adventures since 2004. Bookings & promos: miia@miiamagia.com Back in 2004 Miia started to organise club events in Helsinki were she could play her favourite music. Another main goal was simply to create events that make people dance. In her late teens she was very inspiered by London's returning 60's Mod culture, 70's Glamrock and the 90's Indierock and Britpop scenes. These were the genres she was playing during the five years of residency at Club Semifinal, the downstairs venue of Helsinki's legendary rock club Tavastia. The next step in her music evolution was towards electronic dance music, such as House and Nu Disco and landed her a residency at DTM, Scandinavias bigges gay club. This 10 years long cooperation with the Helsinki Gay scene was crowned with a gig at the Pride Parade 2014, were her music convinced 30000 party people. Alongside the residency at DTM Miia continued organising her own events at the culturally remarkable Mbar. The “Sound of Magic”-nights were up and running for three years guested by her favourite local house DJs. She has been invited to play in most Finnish major cities and internationally in Tallinn, Madrid, and Valencia, and was also invited to host the ”Our House” show for a year at Bassoradio, one of Finland's national stations, playing her favourite deep house tracks. Miia's taste of music has travelled a long way to find it's way to this day's deeper house and techno tunes. Since moving to Stockholm 2016 she's been focusing to learn more about music production and has been invited to DJ at Stockholm underground raves and top notch clubs such as Backdoor, Fristaden/Kvarteret and Slakthuset.
