12 Russians Indicted, Helsinki Putin Panic, Trump's Reversal by Media Roots Radio published on 2018-07-21T09:39:46Z Abby and Robbie Martin talk about the latest Mueller indictment of 12 alleged Russian intelligence (GRU) agents in relation to the alleged Russian state-sponsored hacking of the DNC and 'meddling' in the 2016 US presidential election. Robbie breaks down the charges and why the indictments aren't meant to actually bring anybody to justice but are instead meant to paint a 'visual narrative' for public consumption (a phrase used by Yasha Levine). They also discuss headlines like Elon Musk donating to the GOP and Ocasio-Cortez’s Palestine controversy. Later Trump's performance at the Helsinki summit and the hysterical media reaction is discussed in detail. Thanks for listening! Further to speculation as to why she is being singled out, it may be helpful to note that "Butina" is a very odd Russian name -- not a standard Russian name, like "Putin" -- something invented. 2018-07-30T19:06:07Z Comment by cejetvole awesome overview of the situation 2018-07-30T18:23:42Z Comment by Anthony Meraz 1 get well soon Abby!💐 2018-07-26T08:44:21Z Comment by Kerry McNamara "quasi-comedian, PigMan..." It would be funny, if it weren't so serious, but they should also be very embarrassed. 2018-07-23T05:48:11Z Comment by Trisha A R He totally is. I am somewhat surprised but delighted to hear that are not overall buying this ridiculous charade 2018-07-23T05:30:55Z Comment by Trisha A R and still in the end (if we are talking about this same so called "hack" which was really a leak of the Podesta emails) its amazing that still no one from the DNC or most of MSM have mentioned the real issue -and that is the contents of the Podesta emails. And the have morphed it all conveniently into Russia and Trump. i see all of this that goes on by the MSM is just an attempt to oust Trump because he is not controllable and is a poor front man. They want a controllable smooth operator and Trump is not it. This shows how sewn up and superficial it all is. 2018-07-23T05:14:52Z Comment by Trisha A R yes i agree. and it should never have been given to Crowd strike 2018-07-23T05:04:56Z Comment by Trisha A R a pro Israel think tank is funding Robinson's legal defense 2018-07-23T04:16:05Z Comment by User 6155754 That Ars Technica story simply covers what was originally reported in the Dutch newspaper (Volkskrant). Afterwards the reporters were interviewed on TV and they admitted that they themselves hadn't seen any direct evidence of the AIVD (Dutch intelligence) hacks. This caused a lot of speculation about the real sources and reasons for this information leak, especially considering the timing (right before an important grassroots referendum about increasing the authority of Dutch intelligence agencies). The heads of the intelligence agencies have until declined to corroborate the story one way or another, claiming it would not be in their interest and could compromise existing programs. 2018-07-23T00:12:45Z Comment by Morning Meditation whenever i hear nulands voice, a deep fear rises from my fuckin bones 2018-07-22T22:19:31Z Comment by President Ford <--- loves this part LOL AHAHAHA 2018-07-22T01:40:18Z Comment by Rainbowbelt Paul Jay's interview with Aleksandr Buzgalin. gives some interesting historical insight into Russian politics and that with the US during the post Cold war and prior, from a personal perspective 2018-07-21T20:00:06Z Comment by Rainbowbelt They conducted bad forensics. 2018-07-21T19:36:11Z Comment by Rainbowbelt The politics of an organization really does matter and people act as if many orgs just not politically motivated. 2018-07-21T19:35:11Z Comment by Rainbowbelt Marcy Wheeler is a Russia hound.
