the matt lewis experience matthew lewis Albuquerque I was born in Pennsylvania near Philadelphia. l learned to play the piano a tiny bit when I was super young. I'm not even sure how old I was. My mom gave piano lessons to some local kids and we, her own kids couldn't focus on it. I had the problem that I wanted to make stuff up. So I tinkered with the piano through the years. And when I was 13 I took my first real guitar lessons with a guy who was an amazing guitar player and all around nice guy. I learned quite a bit from that teacher. He taught me mainly the Blues from his perspective. I learned a little bit of surf guitar and a wee bit of classical but then I didn't want to stick with it. I just wanted to play. That was always my problem. I always wanted to just make up something and do my own thing. The other problem I had though is that I sucked. I was off. Sloppy and had no idea what I was doing. but I just kept recording stuff and trying to get better and trying. I went to college and played guitar eventually with some friends for a long time. We used to just Jam every night. then after college I jammed with local people in Pennsylvania for quite some time. I was always writing songs and stuff so I always had material to work with. We never got a band together or anything. There were many problems with that. at one point a friend asked me to record an album. I'd never done anything with anybody else really or anybody that was really good. This guy with was amazing and is amazing. He helped me really figure out how to make songs. And record them. Then I moved to the desert eventually. time has a way of changing your course. anyway, I move to Albuquerque and damn the lot with different groups of people and sometimes just maybe one other person. I recorded stuff here and there but nothing really serious. I was always recording solar stuff from time to time with an acoustic guitar or something and a digital recorder. for some time I let go of the recording in Focus just on living and didn't even play guitar very much at all for a couple of years. I was making arrowheads out of Rock and sort of lost interest in the guitar. However once my hands started hurting from working with Rock and making it arrowheads I had to give it up. What will I do now? Well the best thing in my life has always been playing the guitar. I had a whole other parallel life of being an artist and making paintings. that's another story though. Anyway in the past few years I have begun recording again. I'm on the computer now and everything I recorded is me. I have no one else around me in my circle of friends or that played music. So I'm sort of on my own. But in a way that's very freeing. I would suggest to play with other people is better but if life gives you lemons make lemonade right? So anyway I have been experimenting with guitars and pedals electronic drums keyboard with MIDI as well as singing in all kinds of different tones. I am truly enjoying making music these days. Thanks for anybody that has listen. I really appreciate it. You all are awesome!! Take care and have a beautiful beautiful life. the matt lewis experience’s tracks six six six blues by the matt lewis experience published on 2025-04-24T16:40:15Z spy song by the matt lewis experience published on 2025-04-11T00:44:30Z old man by the matt lewis experience published on 2024-12-08T17:30:53Z overdrive overkill by the matt lewis experience published on 2024-10-26T13:10:29Z the story teller by the matt lewis experience published on 2024-10-26T13:09:26Z blues project remiix by the matt lewis experience published on 2024-06-10T17:12:04Z fire in the hull by the matt lewis experience published on 2024-06-04T15:56:15Z hole in my head by the matt lewis experience published on 2023-01-31T00:52:38Z death by the matt lewis experience published on 2022-12-08T19:49:33Z suger mama by the matt lewis experience published on 2022-12-03T01:12:02Z
