Release thirty-six welcomes young Argentinian producer Polo to the Manjumasi fold with an absolute modern progressive ripper, Nostalgia del Presente. Driven by a hypnotic riff of massive stacked synth chords, this tune evokes the optimism and euphoric expansiveness of turn-of-the-millenium progressive house, while at the same time featuring a modern melancholic edge that places this track firmly in dance music’s current moment. Rounding out the EP is Ultramar, a collaboration with label founder atish that kicks up the shuffle and explores a deeper level of oceanic groove.
