imagine you started djing about 1,5yrs ago because of a pretty selfish reason: you just wanted to be part of a beautiful festival summer but simply just could not because of a broken leg. the solution: change the dancefloor against the dj booth. yes, it is possible to spin records while sitting (with an itchy cast) on a dark green velvet sofa in front of your smiling and dancing friends. and you know what? it is the most beautiful feeling i have ever had :)

imagine spending every single minute with practicing, digging music and creating sets. imagine working fulltime in a regular job but also fulltime on the weekends behind the decks. imagine finding a hobby that gives you nothing but love and joy. imagine turning that hobby into a passion.

imagine being super insecure even though you already have a lot of bookings. imagine being full of doubts every time you hit the play button.

imagine you suddenly get a mail. PING. the mail is from @mira_kater. it is your first booking at kater blau. the place you loved so much since ever. the place you feel like home and identify with. the booking you have dreamt about since the beginning.

and then imagine you have to go there alone because all of your friends are at a festival at your hometown. the festival you built all together. the festival that means family to you. imagine switching your playtime and leaving your friends at the peaktime to catch your train in the morning to go to berlin nearly without any sleep. 7 hours of loneliness, 7 hours to get nervous like hell. 7 hours to prepare your set. imagine arriving at berlin super happy and super sad at once.

yes, i was full of doubts again when i hit the play button at my beloved hopper floor. i missed my friends. i was afraid to fail. but suddenly everything changed. i changed. i changed my playlist and i changed my mindset. and that changed everything.

i realized how fucking blessed i am. i realized that i am just so honored to warm up the floor for mira. i realized that i got booked for such a big event as a newcomer. i realized kater opened its doors for fresh faces and i am one of them.

and then i realized my little brother who came to see me playing for the first time. i realized one of my oldest friends who came to cheer me up even though she usually does not listen to that kind of music. i realized one of my newest friends who came all the way from freiburg just to support me. i realized another good friend who danced like there is no tomorrow even though i opened a completely empty dancefloor. and then i realized all these strangers who started to fill the floor even though the sun was shining outside and a lot of headliners were playing at the same time.

family, friends, strangers, me - we danced and smiled together. and i got so so happy :) i played just how i felt. i played a looot of my fav bar25 and katermukke hits. this is the result. i hope you like it.
