Humboldt Encourages Use of Small Cultivator Amendment by KMUD News published on 2021-03-05T02:23:02Z In October 2020, Humboldt County Board of Supervisors unanimously voted to approve the 'Small Cultivator Amendment' to the Commercial Cannabis Land Use Ordinance(CCLUO). The amendment established a streamlined permitting pathway for those wishing to cultivate 2,000 square feet or less of cannabis. The 2021 growing season is the first time this amendment will be relevant for Humboldt residents and the Planning and Building Department is encouraging residents who are planning on cultivating cannabis this season, to apply for the expedited, small cultivation permit. County officials are warning underground cultivators that Code Enforcement will be actively surveying for un-permitted cultivations this season and issuing abatements.
