A collection of sound "collages" by Kimathir published on 2010-05-28T14:24:49Z Pieces mostly based on the magic realist paintings of Jacek Yerka, Remedios Varo, and French illustrator Fred's Philémon series. There are other painters whose works also influence these pieces, and here's a handful of them : Seurat, Signac, Degas, Bosch, Renoir, Kandinksy, Miro, Bracques, Carrington. What is most interesting to me however, are those loud echoes of my childhood memories in France, and Senegal; for some reason those correspond to this spellbinding immediacy that everyday moments provided with their own characteristics of smells, sights, colors and of all sorts of other nuances that would fill an entire book to describe.
