Kieren Alexander Australian accordionist and pianist currently based in Prague and Europe; Kieren Alexander is an international musician with many musical projects. A specialist in Latin American music, including salsa, tango, and bossa nova, he is also a performer of jazz and European folk musics of various kinds. He has been a conductor and leader of various ensembles and projects, and is a regularly leader of Ethno events. Currently he performs with various ensembles based in Europe, including the Free Balkan Quintet, Tango Underground Fiesta, La Descarga Salsa Orchestra. Performance credits include various festivals to date; Woodford Folk Festival (AUS), Vienna Accordion Festival (AUT), Beltine (CZ). He is also a teacher of Latin and jazz accordion, and runs workshops and organises artistic events. Kieren graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in 2008 and has been performing professionally ever since.
