04 Los Olvidados by Kalle Kalima

K-18 is a quartet led by the Finnish jazz guitarist Kalle Kalima. Featured with K-18 are also Mikko Innanen (saxophones), Veli Kujala (quarter-tone accordion) and Teppo Hauta-aho (double bass).

The quartet’s unique sound is based on the uncompromising approach to improvisation. The third CD of the group, Bunuel de Jour (TUM Records), takes its inspiration from the late films of Luis Buñuel and will be released in the spring 2014. Last year K-18 won the acclaimed Finnish Emma prize for jazz records with their last CD, Out to Lynch.
