Tracks like “Are You Still Mad” delve into the universal tensions of love and relationships with heartfelt honesty. J. Brown also collaborated with October London to create the standout track “JustA Matter Of Time,” a timeless and soulful piece born from their shared vision to create something extraordinary together. The song’s stirring melodies and poignant lyrics reflect the depth of their artistry.
Additionally, J. Brown worked with longtime collaborator Elijah Blake, who penned the nostalgic and poignant track “MAH DEAR.” Produced by Roark Bailey (Saweetie, Summer Walker, Kanye West, Chris Brown), the song delivers a fresh yet familiar sound reminiscent of Sam Cooke. It pays homage to timeless soul while bringing something new to the genre.
The album’s title, Just A Matter Of Time, reflects the highs and lows of love—a journey of wanting, finding, and sometimes losing it. “As the project came together, it became clear that this was about the many facets of love and growth,” J.
