Josh Tweek Josh Tweek Berlin, Germany requests :: firstname.lastname@example.org He discovered house music at 16—and was a music nerd long before—but it was in his early twenties that Josh Tweek's musical perversion kicked into overdrive. Moving to Leeds for its infamous music scene, Josh wasted no time in setting up the acclaimed party Louche, which ran monthly for seven years Louche conquered London too, with everything from intimate basement affairs to big RBMA show stoppers. A trusty resident all the while, he's supported ‘em all—from Moodymann to Zip, Nicolas Jaar to Floating Points or Theo… even Seth Troxler back in the day. Fast forward to the present day and you’ll find Josh working as a respected club booker in Berlin, where he's lived for two years now. Louche parties have become a regular fixture in the German capital, not to mention a host of European appearances—Croatia’s Garden Festival, Gottwood in the UK, and even OFF Sonar Barcelona. He curates the Louche podcast series (swiftly approaching its 150th instalment) and hosts a wildly popular monthly radio show—“The Choon Room”—on Leeds’ KMAH Radio, alongside fellow Yorkshire-Berlin transplant Youandewan. With every coming day Josh seems to immerse himself deeper in music. His home studio boasts a formidable array of analog hardware, including a handful of vintage synths and his faithful old MPC. But when Josh isn’t busy promoting or producing, he's record digging. A versatile yet highly discerning jock, he's the proud owner of a fine collection of dizzying house bombs—and is as natural behind a set of 1210s as he was 14 years ago.
