Peter shakes his finger at those who have gathered the day after Pentecost: "ESV Acts 3:13 The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified his servant Jesus, whom you delivered over and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release him. 14 But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,..." Not only did you deny the "Holy and Righteous One", but instead you chose a murderer! On Good Friday Pilate asked the crowd who they wanted released and instead of Jesus, they chose Barrabas! Now Peter is pointing out the irony of killing the "Author of Life" for a murderer. These people knew what Peter was talking about, they were at the crucifixion or readily heard about it. How could you make a choice like that? But who's to say we wouldn't if we were part of that crowd. Listen as Pastor Jim Driskell talks about the choices we make that are often not God honoring.
