Soft Spots - Audio Tour by Jeff Kasper published on 2021-08-16T17:53:42Z Welcome to the Soft Spots Audio Tour! Soft Spots is a mindfulness path that takes inspiration from the playful style of self-help and mutual aid graphics that gained popularity on social media during the pandemic. Subverting the language of "social distance" signage, Soft Spots, is designed for taking a moment to contemplate seeking support when feeling unsafe. In collaboration with The New York City Department of Parks and Recreation, two iterations of the Soft Spots mural will be installed in Queens at the Rockaway Beach Boardwalk @ 84th Street and Staten Island at the Stapleton Waterfront. The first mural in Queens will open for public engagement Labor Day weekend and will remain open for six months. Is this for me? Maybe or maybe not. This project was developed by an artist for peer-support, community building, and educational purposes. Opt-out if any part of this experience feels unfit for you, at any time. You are the expert of your own body, mind, and emotions. Soft Spots was created by Jeff Kasper an interdisciplinary artist, designer, and educator.
