Welcome to episode 485 of the Everyday Junglist Podcast!
Thank you Basic Rhythm for your mix on episode 484!
For this episode, I'm happy to announce that we have a favorite producer of mine, THUGWIDOW!
Before we get to the mix, please make sure you pick up some of my favorite tunes by him: Hard Rave Aesthetic, The Sacrifice, A Swift and Organic Mutation, and Life will keep coming wave after wave if you let it!
THUGWIDOW's mix is VIBES! This mix has jungle flavors, some 4X4, a bit of Garage! Such an eclectic track selection! THUGWIDOW crushes this mix!
Let's meet our dj for episode 485, THUGWIDOW:
1. Have you always produced under the THUGWIDOW name?
I started off when I was 16 (2004) producing music under the name Frenchfire, I made ambient garage things a few of which still exist online.
2. I follow you on Instagram and see you’ve made some great food, what’s your best recipe created so far?
I just asked my wife and according to her:
• My paella, a spiced cake, and roasts.
3. I had a Tarot reading a couple months ago which I’m hoping turns out to be accurate, have most of the readings you’ve done for yourself been pretty spot on?
I can (to be honest the best way for me to answer is to do some tarot readings for which I am happy to do if you desire):
(Self is capitalised on purpose to signify the completely embodied self defined completely internally.)
The tarot to me, are not so much a prediction of the future, but each card in of itself represents a part of the Self that needs addressing. The suits are a journey towards a re-established part of Self, the major arcana are a cyclical repeating journey reoccurring through life and the cards drawn represent a random snapshot at any given moment. The more work you do on yourself, the more aligned the parts of Self will become and the more the tarot will simply reflect your current head space.
The tarot are drawn at random, but they represent the archetypical presentations of the subconscious projected out onto nature, onto society, onto the world. So it is only natural that often their symbology appears in the wider world. In this way they do predict the future, but only because that future is bound into the archetypical projection, the co-created reality (or Malketh) in which humanity currently resides.
As you have projected parts of yourself away and the tarot enables you to recontextualize the archetypical symbology and you can address the parts of self which each of us has projected outward and draw it inward. Once you embody all the parts of self you create the hermetic seal (a sealed chamber) defined completely by you and no longer bound by outside influence, by the decontextualised projections of humanity. You become only a reflection of the Self, your DNA, who you really are.
It’s funny because I know the cards are random and now I’ve used them for so long their readings hit me so hard. I think maybe once you embody the Self completely your life becomes more unpredictable, less dictated by the dharmic wheel of Malketh and as a result a random draw is more revealing than any logical prediction or model.
