Episode 397 brings a mix from SR, his 4th mix for our podcast and like his other mixes from him, this mix is too good!
SR comes out swinging in this mix, featuring tunes from his recently released LP on Locked Up Music, Squat Rave and some forthcoming dubs on AKO and Metalheadz! The mix starts out dark and moody with upfront tunes, drumfunk, and crisp, heavy amens! SR sprinkles in some heavy steppers and a good measure more amen smashers before ending the mix with a mental tune from Threshold! SR smashing it bits on this one!
Let's meet our dj for episode 397, SR:
SR delivers his own unique style and sound of old skool jungle, full of amens and chopped breaks. SR has worked with many producers over the years, collaborating with artists like Jem One, Digbee, Vinyl Junkie and The Ragga Twins. He is currently working on a new, second album, after the huge success of his debut album back in 2015, which he produced with Digbee called, ‘Turning Back’. SR has released music on 36Hertz, AKO Beatz, Deep in the Jungle, Dubsoul, Enter the Jungle, Format Music, Ghetto Dub, KLP, Locked Up Music and Skeleton Recordings. He just finished his LP debut, Squat Rave on Locked Up Music and has forthcoming tunes on AKO Beatz and Metalheadz, so watch this space!
