During this Summer's sonic-seance at our Lisbon home, Planeta Manas, we revisited the history of seances, and with both a critical and curious eye, researched the technologies and beliefs behind these sessions attempting to communicate with the spirits. We sat and laid down together, guided by the live guitar drones of local musician, BLEID, who conjured ghastly shadows into our presence - including a police raid who invaded the space during her live set - and yet, her precise sonic guidance appeased the spirits and maintained everyone tight through a soporific night journey.

Combining traditional instrumentation and drone synths, BLEID creates endless waves, slowly growing and decreasing in a timeless continuum, overlaying sounds to breaking point, collapsing into themselves just to arrive at a familiar yet new destination every time.

We recommend good speakers that allow the reverberation to be felt in your body, or headphones accompanied with some tea. Allow yourself to drift away with these textured, haunted but soothing vibrations.
