HOLIDAYS FUTURISME, is the new project of Venetian singer and songwriter Claudio Valente, realized with the help producer and guitarist Simone Chivilò.
Thay already recorded 14 new songs for an album titled "Venice to Venice(foggy days and sunny nights) and we would like to get in contact with Yeproc A&R to discuss about it. A videoclip of the song Radio Silence has also been realized and it will be ready in a couple of weeks.
"Venice to Venice" has been inspired by a physical, bur also emotional trip from Venice(Italy) to Venice beach(CA), travelling from the foggy decadent European city on the lagoon to the sunny Californian shores, and the music of the album reflect these two worlds and souls, going from the tough rock wave of Radio Silence to the balladry of "Soul Singers never sleep alone" and "Better go while it's still fun" to the electronics of "Know" and the classic solid rock of "Falling Down"
During Holidays Futurisme's concerts take place an art performance also, "Venice to Venice" is going to be presented in many art galleries of Venice, with the help of photographer and graphic artist Marzia Dal Gesso and her lightpainting tecnique and the videos of Valeria Cruceli.

HOLIDAYS FUTURISME è il nome del nuovo progetto musicale di Claudio Valente per il quale il cantante e musicista veneziano ha scritto e realizzato molte nuove canzoni, quasi tutte in lingua inglese, tornando alle sue origini più rock, che saranno pubblicate in un album intitolato “Venice to Venice…(foggy days, sunny nights)” .
Il nuovo disco è stato prodotto e arrangiato ancora una volta insieme a Simone Chivilò, per la propria label Heart Rmp, e suonato dallo stesso Claudio, chitarra e synth, Simone Chivilò, chitarre, basso e programmazioni, Virginio Bellingardo, batteria e percussioni.
Gli interventi di sax sono di Tiziano Valente.
La varietà dei pezzi riconferma l’eclettismo compositivo di Claudio che attraverso le canzoni percorre un vero e proprio viaggio, sia geografico che interiore, partendo dalla sua città d’origine, Venezia, per arrivare ad un’altra Venezia dall’altra parte del mondo, Venice Beach, California, e ritorno; un viaggio realmente avvenuto e che ha ispirato i brani che si snodano per tutto il disco variando dalle atmosfere più crepuscolari e mitteleuropee ispirate dalla laguna veneziana a quelle più rock e soleggiate nate sulla costa Californiana; ecco spiegato il titolo e la varietà degli ingredienti usati da Claudio, il quale per questo nuovo album ha scritto pezzi tirati e grintosi come non mai, anche per la natura spigolosa dei testi che sottolineano la pochezza culturale e la crisi di valori odierne attaccando con forza polemica il mondo dei mass media sempre più incapace di offrire stimoli artistici (Radio Silence), ma ha composto anche misteriose e decadenti songs dal suono morbido e suggestivo ambientate in una Venezia languida e davvero struggente (Angel); ci propone rock songs dall’andatura groovy e black che fanno balzare in piedi (Falling down) e altre decisamente baciate da un sole californiano, da spararsi a tutto volume correndo in auto o in moto con il vento nei capelli (17 miles drive); c’è spazio anche per una manciata di ballate elettro-acustiche notturne e introspettive, (“Better go while it’s still fun”, “Soul singers never sleep alone”) a volte tinte di soul (“Serenade” ) e per episodi dove elettronica e rock convivono in maniera decisamente particolare ricordando le sue origini new wave (“Know”, “Love behind the doors”).
Aprono e chiudono due strumentali ambient.
Insomma nel disco di HOLIDAYS FUTURISME c’è n’è sicuramente per palati diversi, ma con un sound generale a dare coerenza al tutto, merito della produzione lucida, moderna e spontanea di Simone Chivilò e di una consapevolezza ormai matura raggiunta da Claudio Valente che, dopo le escursioni nel pop-rock d’autore in italiano dei due precedenti album a suo nome (per i dischi in italiano precedenti vedi www.claudiovalente.com), cambia di nuovo le carte in tavola e si ripresenta con questa nuovo progetto dal respiro internazionale.

HOLIDAYS FUTURISME, is the new project of singer and songwriter Claudio Valente,. realized with the help of the producer and guitarist Simone Chivilò.
Under this moniker Claudio Valente has written many new songs, in English language as he used to do at the beginning of his career, confirming his eclectic composer’s vein and decidedly going back to his rock and experimental roots, after the last two albums as Claudio Valente, where he presented himself with a pop–rock crooner elegant style singing in Italian language (see www.claudiovalente.com for info).
This first Holidays Futurisme’s album is titled “Venice to Venice (Foggy days and Sunny Nights)” and is a 17 tracks trip from Venice(Italy) where Holidays Futurisme is based to Venice Beach (CA), a journey that really took place and inspired to the author all the songs which, as a consequence, show different souls and use different styles and you can find:
the tough, hard-rock-wave verve of “Radio Silence”, which, in its lirycs, conveys a strong, bitter, criticism of nowadays poor cultural climate, as a result of the vulgarity of Radio and TV shows’ mass – culture;
the romantic and suggestive evocative sound of “Angel Danger”, born through the mists of the Venetian lagoon like the decadent, italian song “Amica Gentile, Amica Crudele” as well;
on the sunny shores of Venice Beach took life a groovy solid rock song as ”Falling Down” or the easy rocker “17 Miles Drive”, a perfect soundtrack for a ride with the wind through your hair along the coast of California;
then, there are some nocturne, introspective electro-acoustic ballads as well (“Better go while it’s still fun”, “Soul singers never sleep alone”, “Serenade”) and tracks where rock and electronics live together in an intriguing way which sometmes reminiscences the old days of European new wave (“Know”, “Love Behind the Door”, “Rain from the Sun”).
Two instrumental ambient pieces (“Intro” and “Outro”) open and close this journey from Venice to Venice (and back again ) and through the eclectical and rich musical world of Holidays Futurisme.
