It was named Rock Sound magazine ALBUM OF THE YEAR. Later, in 2005, readers of Kerrang! magazine voted The Neon Handshake the 58th best British rock album of all time. The Neon Handshake is one of, if not the most siminal British post-hardcore records of the 00's.
