ARTIST BIO - METAFLOOR:
Metafloor produces multidimensional soundsystem music. As a producer, DJ, promoter and community-builder. His endeavors reflect an insatiable creative appetite and passion for connecting people through low frequencies. In 2011, Metafloor co-founded Sub Chakra to curate intimate bass music experiences. The collective has delivered over 100 shows in Calgary and is now venturing into soundsystem development.
In 2021, Metafloor launched Pull Up – a Friday-night residency centered on underground experimental electronic music. A proponent for emerging artists, Metafloor is not only known to regularly perform at festivals such as Shambhala and Bass Coast, but also mentors and supports other upcoming artists. As a producer, Metafloor has an endless desire to bring new, unconventional sounds to the dance floor, and has collaborated with artists such as Fixate, Doctor Jeep, Moresounds, Joe Nice, and Mat the Alien. A focused and intentional shapeshifter, he creates with deep respect for a myriad of genres. His ability to merge musical ranges creates a distinct, yet unexpected soundscape. Inspired by the dualities of art and life, Metafloor is always evolving and committed to taking the listener on a memorable journey.
ARTIST BIO - JOE NICE:
Joe is a father, activist, DJ, producer, scholar, and multi-national citizen, and is universally recognized as the ambassador of the dubstep sound in North America. Nice is a keystone in the growth and success of dubstep and underground bass music for twenty-one years. Essentially, Joe played dubstep before the genre had a name. Joe Nice is North America's first and most respected dubstep DJ, and has performed in over 150 cities in 50 countries, across 6 continents. His musical accomplishments include multiple residencies in several cities, producing award-winning radio shows on SubFM, creating the first dubstep party in North America, DubWar, and (in 2015) starting a record label, GourmetBeats.

In short, Metafloor and Joe Nice wanted to make a tune that is a call to action. Joe and Metafloor wanted an anthem for the streets, and the dance floor. They believe this song is part of the conversation and the continued fights for humanity, freedom, equality, and survival.
