Goriz Goriz Project Tehran Goriz Project was created by Sadredin Esmaily and Mohammad Ali Jokar, as a drummer-composer and pianist–tanbur player–composer, respectively. The word "Goriz" means escape; we chose this term because we aim to escape from the fixed algorithms and aesthetics of any specific genre. We seek inspiration from a wide variety of music, without drawing borders between ethnic, classical, contemporary, jazz, rock, folk, or avant-garde styles. The instrumentation is also not completely fixed — it can be changed, expanded, or replaced based on our taste and artistic needs. We are actively seeking opportunities to perform at music festivals worldwide and to collaborate with innovative international and ethnic musicians. We are also seeking professional producers interested in publishing and promoting our original compositions.
