I completely rebuilt the song from scratch including the beats, bass line and vocals, all the way up to producing and mixing the final product. It has been 3720 days since DV's self-titled album was released, and this particular song remains one of my favorites of all time and is an absolute standout on the CD itself. It has heavily influenced the way I both listen to and produce electronic music. Though the original track has a much more "house"/downtempo feel with somewhat more groove, I decided to go a bit more full-on for this remix/cover, introducing much heavier kick, a more relentless bass groove and more fills than the original, though I attempted to keep it thoughtful, nostalgic and painful.
