Hans Zimmer - "S.T.A.Y. (Interstellar Main Theme)" (Gordon Star Live Rework) by Gordon Star

Interstellar is my favourite film of all time, not least of all because it is complimented by such an incredible soundtrack from the legend - Hans Zimmer.

I actually saw Hans Zimmer Live perform S.T.A.Y before watching the film, so I was already emotionally invested in it. The simplicity and beauty of the main theme is so moving, I wanted to make sure I kept the emotion of it running through my rework.

My interpretation of it was how I imagined the 50+ musicians performing it as if they shared my love of heavy metal and the heavier side of electronica (which a lot of them probably do). Huge percussion, enourmous orchestral strings and a tonne of guitars (Ibanez Baritone and Fender Strat Roadhouse) all driven by that Moog Sub 37 baseline.

So, here it is, I hope you love it as much as I enjoyed writing and producing it!
