PR NOTES:
On hearing her name, some will recall packed concert halls and the sound of the orchestra tuning; or a cosy club with chic patrons and the whisper of jazz. Others will argue that she's the sound of the famous Soprano solo in Barber's Adagio for Strings, others still think Van Morrison, Paul Brady, or even Paddy Casey. Another will tell you that she's on the frontline of the often electro driven, contemporary classical scene. They will all tell you this: Suzanne Savage blew them away.
Suzanne has been hailed as “the best voice out of Northern Ireland in the past thirty years” (Jackie Flavelle, Downtown Radio), and her career already spans performances at SXSW, Electric Picnic, support for Van Morrison, vocals with Paul Brady and Elenor McEvoy, Riverdance tours as the soprano soloist, countless international tours as a soprano, violinist, choral singer, a composer, not to mention numerous television and radio appearances. In her solo music she is slicker-than-your-average singer-songwriter, heavily influenced by jazz, irish songwriters and informed by her experience as a performer of funk, heavy rock, drum and bass, contemporary classical music and everything in between.
Over her already impressive career, Suzanne has performed with musical royalty like Van Morrison, Paul Brady, Kokia, Elenor McEvoy, Juliet Turner, Roni Size, Jimmy Cobb, to name but a few. She has made radio appearances Nationally and Internationally. That's not to mention gracing the stage of numerous festivals like Queens Belfast Festival, UK/NY Festival (New York), SXSW (Texas), Blues Autour Du Zinc (France), and Luceana Festival (Italy).
Currently Suzanne is between Karlsruhe, Germany and Dublin and has just put the finishing touches to her much anticipated album ´jellymould’ which she has co-produced with Holger Stenschke. The result is a distillation of a wealth of influences combining to create a unique sound that you simply won't hear anywhere else. Jellymould will be released in the Summer of 2012. With a new single ‘Dart’ to be released prior to the album on June 15th.

Notes to editors:
Hailing from Belfast, Suzanne's devotion to music has been a lifelong affair. She began playing violin when she was 8; teens were spent receiving classical training in school but a more colourful education gigging with bands in Belfast, varying from heavy rock to funk fusion. While completing her Music degree at Queens University where she studied singing with Irene Sandford, Suzanne never stopped gigging. Jazz, contemporary music and drum and bass began to play a bigger part in her output. The gigs moved from bustling bars to T.V. studios, international tours and collaborations in addition to being an established fixture of the music scene in Northern Ireland. She then won a scholarship to FABRICA MUSICA in Italy, a hugely important experience for her culturally, musically and artistically. While there she worked with musicians from all over the world, collaborating with composers like William Barton, Andrea Molino and Hugo Smit. She was constantly performing and recording; even taking part in a documentary for German television about her work. After this fruitful period in Italy, Suzanne toured with Riverdance, eventually finding herself in Dublin. She is currently based between Belfast, Dublin and Karlsruhe, Germany, taking full advantage of what these vibrant music scenes have to offer.
