somehow i've ended up back here
to the worlds i wanted to leave
in the night time the rumors start to fly
and i can never sleep

a shut in for all these years
used to all the words that hurt me
i still feel engulfed in fear
from all the ghosts that cursed me
my body is feeling weak
but i cannot close my eyes
and i can never sleep

a letter centered on my desk
from a lifetime feeling out of place
envelopes with untold words
all just to tear them up again
for a second i felt whole again
you put the pieces back into their place
an eternity of sleepless nights
you'll never, ever see
