100% of proceeds made from this release will be donated to aid the people of Palestine as they struggle through one of the most downright grotesque moments in human history. After thoughtful consideration, we have decided on allocating our earnings to the following organizations:

75% of sales will go to Health, Education, Aid, and Leadership (HEAL) Palestine - a nonprofit working to provide young Palestinians in Gaza a chance for a brighter future. For more info, visit: www.healpalestine.org

25% of sales will go to Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME) - a nonprofit based in Montreal that empowers Canadians to promote justice, development, and peace in the Middle East. We have also endorsed Palestinian Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel (PACBI) - a movement started in 2004 that calls for the academic and cultural boycott of Israel in order to exert pressure on its government. For more info, visit: www.usacbi.org

In September 2023, we proudly unveiled our first full-length album - our best collective effort as a record label to this day. "Escapism" was met with high praise from both listeners and media outlets around the world, from selling out its limited edition CDs online, to making it onto Bandcamp's front page. "With gonima's clear nod to yesteryear’s wave of ambient and electronica, the album captures the essence of what made that era so pivotal, while enhancing its sound with modern elements and a solid effort to portray a storytelling experience."

Our intention with "Escapism Remixes" was to involve some of our favorite musicians around the world to create a both sonically diverse and overall meaningful album that best expresses our label's past and present. We also wanted to emphasize the constant inspiration that Montreal’s local electronic music scene has had on gonima’s work throughout his years of living there, thus recruiting some of the city's finest for remixing duties. We called upon these talented artists and close friends to take "Escapism" and reinterpret it into the unimaginable - we could not have been more satisfied with the end result.

Throughout our development as a collective, Satellite Era has always aligned with experimental electronic music first and foremost. Over the years, we have found ourselves to reach a niche middle ground, diverging from solely in-home listening to rediscovering the dancefloor. The result can be heard throughout "Escapism Remixes" as we cater to both sides of our audio spectrum. On the more obscure side, we invited glitch.cool residents Woulg and sunnk to deliver an exhilarating journey through their coined hyperglitch subgenre. Highlighting the club-centric elements of our sound DNA, we recruited rising stars Clearcast, Outback, 11ai, and Undulae to contribute their unique renditions on gonima's melodic creations. Landing somewhere in between are Upscale alumni Thorjn, Genie Tempest, and niko scheme along with Kazuki Koga, a pioneer in the gorge subgenre - their bass-infused iterations of some of the album's most emotive tracks are standout moments. As a bonus, gonima created a drumless version of "Soft Mirror," stripping down the original song to showcase its lush ambiance.

"Escapism Remixes" closes a pivotal chapter in Satellite Era's history, revisiting our best work to date and drawing influences from around the electronic music sphere. With a cast composed of some of the most prolific artists in the current, along with legends that have inspired us long before, we are deeply grateful to share the latest offering from our sonic museum.
