It's hard to know where to start with the hapless Blinken. As an economist, I'll restrict myself to the interviewer's allegation that China stole "hundreds of billions, if not trillions, of dollars of trade secrets". How disingenuous can one get? US multinationals agreed to give up some of their "secrets" in order to avail themselves of cheap Chinese labor. Hardly a "theft", but even if it were it wouldn't be the first country to steal trade secrets. One need only Google "Samuel Slater", known as as the “father of the American Industrial Revolution.” Great piece Caitlin! 2021-05-08T16:46:06Z
