Gaku Kano Tokyo Gaku Kano is a jazz musician based in Tokyo/Japan born in 2003. immersed himself in the Jazz scene of Tokyo from an early age, playing drums, analog synths, and creating music with DAWs. While studying western classical music at Tokyo University of Arts, he continued to push his musical boundaries even further. In June 2024, he released his debut album, embracing concepts such as the imperfection of human expression, the warmth of analog gear, memorable melodies, and intricate yet organic rhythms and beats, blending spiciness into smooth harmonies. Reflecting inspiration from multiple genres such as Neo Soul, Breakbeats, and more in his compositions, his enduring love for Jazz shines through the album. Titled "Experimental Jazz," the album features two tracks showcasing one of Japan's most influential guitarists of his generation, Taka Nawashiro."
