interview - Chris Dixon on 'Another Politics Talking across Today's Transformative Movements' by Free City Radio

Listen to an interview with author and activist Chris Dixon speaking on the recently published book 'Another Politics : Talking across Today's Transformative Movements,' a book project that critically explores the practice, ideas and many questions stemming from the recent wave of grassroots anti-capitalist, anti-authoritarian organizing in North America over the past fifteen years.

In this interview, recorded in Montreal, Chris highlights some of the critical discussions within movements that have been taking place, specifically the attempts to balance large scale protest mobilizations against summits of global institutions, representing systems of injustice, such as the WTO or the World Bank, balancing those mobilizations with meaningful involvement in local community organizing struggles for justice at a grassroots level, from housing rights movements, to struggles against state-driven deportations.
