STUDIOS: Lincoln Center 2013 by Found Sound Nation published on 2013-08-13T22:12:04Z In July 2013 at Lincoln Center Out-of-Doors, Found Sound Nation set up mobile studio on the Lincoln Center campus to engage passersby and festival musicians in the spontaneous, collaborative production of original music. With a simple setup -- laptop, mics, midi controllers, and speakers -- we lead a music creation session that was completely improvised. As mics got passed around, engineers record everything and actively creates loops and soundscapes to add to the improvised concert. Part concert, part recording session, part jam, the street studio is able to tap into the collective unconscious of a place, creating musical creations that are specific to a time and a place.
