"Demeter" is the result of the compromise between compositional intent and radical improvisation. Recorded in a single live session and independently released digitally at the end of 2022, this EP marks Forster's debut (Davide Luciani and Mitchell Keaney). Currently based in Berlin, Luciani and Keaney have spent the past two years crafting a project that harmonizes their respective approaches to music and performance. The duo employs drum machines, live audio post-processing, and advanced synthesizer techniques to construct a unique sonic realm guided by their visceral interest in change rather than a specific aesthetic. Stray Signals is proud to present the reissue of this stunning debut, a concentrated showcase of stylistic and sonic strength. The reissue is comprised of 50 audio cassettes and digital album, featuring the initial four tracks released digitally on side A and the complete live session from which the EP was derived on side B. — Originally self-released in December 2022.
