Nothing Concrete

Songwriter, singer, multi-instrumentalist, travelling troubadour and one man band, record producer and founder of Nothing Concrete, Fergus is a diverse talent with many strings to his bow. Based in the South of France from where he runs his many projects, Fergus's songs and voice have been compared to The Waterboys, Dylan and Joe Strummer.

Years of travelling the world have helped to broaden his musical horizons and he is as comfortable playing balkan or south American rhythms and styles as the celtic and Americana roots music he grew up with. Working in formations from his traditional one man band "Bandolino" act through the ever changing line-up of Nothing Concrete, to producing the "humanitarium" albums that bring musicians from around the world together in Fergus's studio, he is constantly striving to create music that sounds real, communicates to the listener, and avoids cliché and overproduction.

With a UK based publishing deal and a distribution and licensing deal in the USA, exciting collaborations on the go, having worked with and supported such acts as Grammy award winner Joan Armatrading, Leo sayer and Rick Wakeman amongst others over the years, a new Humanitarium album, the forthcoming release of the debut Nothing Concrete album and an upcoming 2015 summer tour, Fergus is certainly keeping busy!
