Eugene Astapov Eugene Astapov Toronto Acclaimed by The New York Times for the 'richness of his harmony' and praised as a "masterful orchestrator" by the Winnipeg Free Press, the Ukrainian-born Canadian composer and conductor Eugene Astapov is a graduate of The Juilliard School and the former RBC Associate Composer/Conductor for Esprit Orchestra in Toronto, Canada. Dr. Astapov is the recipient of the 2019 Grand Prize of the SOCAN Foundation Awards for the work "Hear My Voice". He is an Assistant Professor of Composition at Western University in London, Canada, an Instructor of Composition and Examiner at The Royal Conservatory of Music, as well as Instructor of Musicology at Brandon University.
