The Soft Rocks gang takes the eerie Strangefruit for a ride with an 80s dubby approach on side A, speeding it up slightly and throwing in a smack of a snare, only to be followed by a Secret Circuit (Eddie Ruscha of Laughing Light of Plenty) version of Wild Combination that juxtaposes wobbly synths and guitars in a sort of Spaghetti Western vibe. All is gravy once the record flips and we sink into the Jonny Nash (of Sombrero Galaxy) remix of Yesterday Is Dead. This is one of those remixes you can't link to the original no matter how hard you try, but why try when you have such a melted masterpiece on your hands? Everything Nash touches is gold, seriously.
