Torah Hakedosha by Ephraim Schwartz published on 2022-05-19T06:47:29Z This song I composed in honor of the Torah scroll that was dedicated by my parents to our Synagogue in Karmiel and the incredible celebration we had there. The words for this song were composed over a thousand years ago by the great Jewish poet and sage Rabbi Shimon ben Yitzchok and are recited selichos. Many people are familiar with the first paragraph as it is an MBD song composed by Hillel Palei. Upon however looking at the whole poem I found the second paragraph to be amazingly beautiful as well and I composed the tune with the help of my son Yonah! Sung and arranged by Dovid Lowy the words are our request to the Torah itself to pray and implore the Almighty upon behalf of His nation. He should remember our pleasant words and the memory of that monumental moment on Mt Horev (sinai) when we came close with determination and said the words Na'aseh V'Nishma- we will do and we will hear the words of the Torah.
