LES FEMMES S’EMPARENT D’ELAB #19 : SOA by Électro Lab

We continue our summer tour of female collectives with a stop in Nantes with Soa, co-founder of the collective Zone Rouge, a female collective launched in Nantes in 2019 with the aim of highlighting female artists in the electronic music culture.

Tonight, it's with Soa that we spend an hour of music. Coming from a musician family rocked by afro, r'n'b and reggae sounds, she has a crush on electronic music and its culture during a year in Berlin. Having started mixing in 2019, like many young DJs she has not yet been able to perform on stage. We are very happy to receive her tonight for an hour of electronic dancehall.

"I wished to put forward the electronic dancehall, with some nuances breaks, afrobeats and R&B which are styles reference of my musical style. The set is composed of tracks from Nyokô Bokbaë, Stacktrace, Kouslin, Kaval, Maureen..."

"My reference crew is the 6 Figure Gang, a London collective composed of artists I admire a lot: LCY, Sherelle, Fauzia, Jossy Mitsu & Yazzus. From bass music to jungle, they explore all styles of breaks with this particular UK touch."
