It's a notion of me and a couple of others that Jackie Shane may have recorded with Frank Motley earlier, in the mid to late 50s around LA (before Motley himself moved to Candada), as 'Angel Face'. A clip can be heard here: http://www.amazon.com/Listen-Baby/dp/B009RRSSLA I think there is a remarkable similarity in the voices, and the fact that I could never work out previously if Angel Face was a man or a woman adds to my suspicion. Angel Face fronted another couple of records with Motley's band and then disappears as an artist altogether. 2013-10-10T11:42:47Z Comment by greedyg A great singer who should have been more well known worldwide. Us soul and R&B fans will always love his records. 2013-08-08T13:29:51Z Comment by Lmuhammad1 Jackie and I share the same hometown, Nashville, TN. I watched him on Night Train as a pre-teens.
