GUDA – An original dance step by Afrobeast

GUDA is the latest Afrobeat dance step in Ghana created by the talented dance coach and co-founder of DWP Academy, Afrobeast. The name GUDA originates from the language Hausa, which means number 1.
The dance, stemmed from the police brutality and racism happening all around the world, especially the USA brings around an uplifting spirit of sanity and peace of mind amidst this chaos.

We woke up one morning to so much hatred, brutality and discrimination in the society. Racism has existed in time past and the fight against it will not stop until it’s all over. #BlackLivesMatter

The heartaches felt from pondering over these left Afrobeast in a frustrated and burdened state of mind that caused him to create a dance step, in an attempt to let go and be free.

The dance step GUDA emits the energy sanity, liberation and strength. It’s a perfect dance for when words are not enough to describe the emotions you feel inside. Whether it’s frustration or joy.

GUDA is a combination of three (3) basic Afro step moves (watch out for tutorial soon) and can be danced to any Afro song. Other genre of songs may work depending on the rhythm

This dance is for all Africans. Both young and old, this is a dance step you should know and own. So anytime, you dance GUDA, just know you’re number 1 and the best there could ever be. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise
