Disciple collaborated with Collette McLafferty on Birdseye view. Originally known for her work in the rock band edibleRed, Disciple introduced McLafferty to the world of House music from his sets at long time New York venues Le Souk, Webster Hall and Ceilo. She was part of Disciple's dancing faithful dancing crew...often dancing to Disciple's megahit "Work It Out" at 5 in the morning.
McLafferty also made worldwide headlines back in 2014, when a total stranger and former drummer of a P!NK Tribute Band she worked in sued her for $10,000,000 for a one time performance. A sensationalized version of the lawsuit went viral via the New York Post, Perez Hilton and Time Magazine based on claims that she was a "lousy singer" and "too unattractive" for the job. After winning a two year legal battle and a $15,000 legal bill for the performance, McLafferty is now championing for change in the legal system. "Collette's Law" was introduced by Bushwick Assemblywoman Maritza Davila to protect innocent people from frivolous lawsuits. Additionally, she is writing a book "Confessions of a Bad, Ugly Singer" to set the record straight on what really happened.
