If somebody told me when i first heard the essential mix as a teenager 20 years ago that one day i would be doing one myself i wouldn't have believed them, so it is a massive honour to be invited by Pete Tong have finally done one.

ps, just a quick note, i wrote this on my facebook so i will write it here too, this is a prime example why if your thinking of quitting dont, becuase i worked for years in a record shop and trying to make it, and then after years and years it finally came together, and i think once you have done an essential mix you can kind of say, ok i think i have kind of made it,

And i'm not ashamed to say it, but at 29 mins in this essential mix, when this track plays by Dusky, i looked up in the breakdown, and the whole club was cheering and clapping, and then it sunk in what i was doing, all the years of hard graft, and working in a record shop for years for hardly any money, and now i'm actually doing an essential mix, it hadn't sunk in before because i was so busy, but at that point it just sank in what i was actually doing and where i had got to, anyway it felt quite emotional so i had to crouch down behind decks and hit myself in ribs to man up, hahahaha but then quickly had a shot of tequila & dropped in a slammer and was all good an back to normal, hahahaha great track though this by dusky, check it if you hav'nt already > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PDRaRyyZNg
