Nunation Lines by Dara O Shayda published on 2014-06-04T13:57:29Z Emergent chorus chant heard from image sonification of lines with N-sound multisampler. First audio segment is the actual recorded voice chanting Nun, with stretched middle ooooo sound. I chose the Arabic version of sounding the N-sound vs. a Western language e.g. English sounding of N sound. Second segment is a time-stretched version using the GRAIN in MetaSynth. Peculiarities of sonic artifacts could be heard. Third segment is the sonification of a horizontal line, basically the stretched version: http://files.lossofgenerality.com/horiz_line.jpg Fourth segement is sonification of slanted line and half way through an articular of Aaaaaaaa could be heard, which was not in the original sound: http://files.lossofgenerality.com/slanted_line.jpg Chanter: Ali Jaber Genre electronic Comment by Dara O Shayda Aaaa sound emerges, not in the original sampled voide, this Aaa sound in Hebrew and Arabic called Alif 2014-06-04T14:29:03Z Comment by Dara O Shayda MetaSynth sonified a slanted line (with reverb) with Nunation multisampler 2014-06-04T14:28:10Z Comment by Dara O Shayda MetaSynth sonified a horizontal line with Nunation multisampler 2014-06-04T14:27:22Z Comment by Dara O Shayda Time-streched version, notice the artefacts towards the end, they are no audible in slower version 2014-06-04T14:26:37Z Comment by Dara O Shayda Original Nun sound in Arabic 2014-06-04T14:26:02Z
