How and where was the mix recorded?
The mix came together in my home studio, using mostly vinyl. For me, vinyl changes the way I think about building a set, you don’t just play tracks, you shape a dialogue between records. It also gives, not always but often, the pure sound of that record and that’s a feeling on its own. That process guided the mix from start to finish.

Can you tell us about the idea behind the mix?
The mix came after three weeks in Europe, spending time at record shops, clubs, Houghton Festival and also taking in art, museums. Coming back to Salt Lake, I felt inspired to capture that energy. I wanted the mix to move between what I look for in music, groove, heavy basslines, acid layers and melodic textures that carry both weight and emotion. It’s about finding balance between rhythm and feeling.

What are you up to next? Projects, ideas…
I’ve got a show in Chicago with the ATM crew on September 6th, Love Lunatics in Salt Lake on the 12th, a collab day party with Yokchi on the 28th and Sunday Sessions in LA on October 19th. I’m also working in the studio and putting together a VA vinyl release for Love Lunatics, which will focus on music that feels timeless.

Lastly, for you what is Dance, Shake, Swing!?
It’s when a track cuts straight through and you can’t help but move. That moment where sound becomes movement and movement becomes connection. Simple, but that’s what makes it powerful.
