TRIGAIDA - ROFINKA feat NUFI Shiroka Lyka (drum and bass version) by IVAN SHOPOV / COOH

Folktronica trio TRIGAIDA, comprised of Asya Pincheva (vocals), Ivan Shopov (electronics), and multi-instrumentalist Georgi Marinov (Horhe) returns with “Rofinka” EP. This very special digital-only release offers several interpretations of the legendary folklore piece of the same name.

The music was produced by Ivan Shopov and TRIGAIDA in collaboration with various guest musicians and composers including the vocal choir from NUFI Shiroka Lyka, conducted by Gancho Gavazov.

TRIGAIDA breathe new life into this eternal piece of traditional Bulgarian music by juxtaposing their own blend of folk and electronic fusion to a plethora of genres and music styles. In the EP we find “Rofinka” translated into a high-octane drum’n’bass remix, a cinematic orchestral composition, a folk-influenced heavy metal hard-hitter, and a chilled-out ambient soundscape.
