Here's To War by Chris/Via Vostok

I wrote this song on the first day of the Iraq War back in March 2003. While watching TV I could see that the war was based upon a lie and that many innocent people were about to be killed and have their lives destroyed. The song implies a number of paradoxes in regards to war and propaganda and the futility of it all. I was very inspired at the time due to the gravity of what was happening and the lyrics came very fast in less than one hour I had wrote the song and I never did a rewrite or changed a single word. It's exactly as it flowed out of me that day. I also like how the end reminds me of the Civil War in a rustic yet modern way.
