Prior to "making changes in his personal life", Coach O had a series of incidents in the early 1990s that included having a restraining order filed against him by a young woman who accused him of "repeatedly attacking her". He was also arrested for his part in a bar fight and had second degree battery charges filed against him. So yeah... he's a real man's man.

Used to read Archdruid like 15 years ago... he started as a Peak Oil guy who talked about resilience, permaculture, that kind of stuff. Was adjacent to James Howard Kunstler and his critique of suburban urban planning/architecture/consumer culture. Seems all those people have gone way off the deep end to maintain audience. Sad!
