Study 4: How Is It Ye Do Not Understand? by NZCFBS

Our Lord Jesus Christ was often thronged by huge crowds and multitudes of the sick, maimed and diseased. The record says very succinctly "and he healed them all". These mass healings occurred in the early part of our Lord's ministry, but as time went by Jesus became much more selective in the candidates chosen for healing, and those miracles are full of very critical lessons. We also find the Lord focussed on certain individuals and their spiritual growth, and we hope to explore these encounters for the insights we need to become true disciples. Our chosen encounters will include characters such as Nicodemus, the thief on the cross, Jairus and others. One of the most challenging aspects of these studies will be, comprehending how the Lord obliges us to keep raising the bar of our spiritual understanding. May it be that our contemporaries in the last days will observe us and "take note that we have been with Jesus and have learnt from him”.
