Jacopo aka Bassi J (@bassij), Italian by birth, turned into a global citizen through his wanderings. His journey began in Hangzhou, China, in 2012, where he banded together with a group of students to create UAi – Urban Art Ideas – a concept for parties that seamlessly integrated art and music.
From there he moved to Australia, where he honed his craft playing in underground bars, beach clubs and intimate private house parties across Melbourne and Sydneys, absorbing new rhythms and energies that would later define his sound.
Bassi J possesses an incredible ear for music. His thoughtful and layered DJ sets consistently demonstrate a masterful control over the pace and flow of the music, allowing even the most melancholic shades of house music to blossom with enthusiasm.
The result is a musical experience that is equally captivating on a vibrant nightclub dance floor as it is during a more relaxed and intimate listening session at home.
